Caribbean’s Newest Luxury Resort, Oil Nut Bay, Opens On Virgin Gorda
Oil Nut Bay has opened its doors relatively under the radar, but it just might be the Caribbean’s newest luxury resort!
I was browsing the internet last week trying to make sure that I had made the right decision by booking Little Dix Bay for our Caribbean family vacation in November when I stumbled upon Oil Nut Bay. I was browsing Luxury Link as I always do when I am looking for luxury vacation deals or new and upcoming luxury resorts when a new Caribbean resort called Oil Nut Bay caught my eye. The last time that I saw a new resort in the British Virgin Islands, it was Scrub Island back in 2010. Since then, I had not even heard any rumblings about a new resort in the British Virgin Islands.
Apparently, I was not in the loop because Oil Nut Bay is the newest luxury resort in the Caribbean on Virgin Gorda. I was surprised at the impressive list of amenities that Oil Nut Bay offers including a kids club, beach club and restaurant, a spa, and a full service marina. However, luxury does not come without a price my friends and quite a hefty one at Oil Nut Bay. The prices start at $795 a night for a 1 bedroom cliff suite and go up to an average of $3000 a night for a 2 bedroom beachfront villa. If you want to bring along the relatives, you will fork out $8000 a night for a 6 bedroom villa at Oil Nut Bay.
Oil Nut Bay is offering some opening promotional rates for the Cliff Suites on Luxury Link, but the Cliff Suites only accommodate 2 adults. Thus, Chic Family Travels will be keeping their reservation at Little Dix Bay 🙂 Nonetheless, we hope to check out Oil Nut Bay while we are in town and report back to you upon our return from the British Virgin Islands and Virgin Gorda.
By the way, who named these places anyway ?!
